HOW TO DRAW BLOOD AND ADD IT TO THE CELLNUTE BOTTLE PROVIDED
STEP 1
You are provided with a 20ml syringe, a bottle of Heparin, a CellNute bottle (tightly capped), and an extra needle. In addition, you will be provided with a pair of sterile gloves.
STEP 2
Choose a clean surface. Put on the gloves. Take approximately 0.1ML (a few drops) of Heparin into the syringe.
STEP 3
Pull the plunger of the syringe backwards and ensure an even coating of heparin on the walls of the syringe.
STEP 4
Remove the needle and push the plunger back to its original position.
STEP 5
Replace with the new needle. Prepare to take out blood.
STEP 6
Draw the patient's blood to fill the syringe.
STEP 7
Pour the blood gently into the CellNute Bottle. Cap the bottle tightly. Gently mix the contents. Do not invert the bottle.
Label the bottle with the patient's name and other specifications.
STEP 8
This bottle is now to be transported to the ICT Lab, Noida, placed upright in the box provided, within 12 hours.
HOW TO ADMINISTER THE DENVAX
STEP 1
Your Dendritic cell vaccine (DENVAX) shall reach you on the 8th day of taking blood.
On this day, prepare an intravenous infusion drip. Discard the contents of a plastic DNS bottle through the tubing, till only 100-150ML remains.
STEP 2
Load a syringe with Ondansetrone 4mg in 2ML. Inject this into the patient.
STEP 3
Load a 10ML syringe with the contents of the two DENVAX vials provided to you.
Each dosage of DENVAX is packed in two vials containing a total of 14ML of live autologous dendritic cell preparation.
STEP 4
Clean the surface of the plastic DNS bottle with spirit swab.
STEP 5
Inject the DENVAX contents into the plastic bottle.
STEP 6
Run the drip intravenously into the patient in 15-20 minutes.
